Purpose of Cyster

Cyster provides general PCOS education, wellbeing tracking, journaling, recipes, exercise resources, reminders, pattern summaries, and AI-assisted tools. The Services are designed to support conversations and everyday self-organization, not to provide clinical care.

Not medical care

Cyster is not a doctor, dietitian, therapist, pharmacy, medical device, diagnostic service, or healthcare provider. Nothing in the Services creates a clinician–patient relationship or should be treated as personalized medical advice.

PCOS symptoms can overlap with other conditions and may require examination, laboratory testing, imaging, or individualized treatment. Only an appropriately qualified professional can assess your circumstances. Never ignore or delay professional advice because of information provided by Cyster.

Emergencies and urgent symptoms

Cyster does not monitor entries in real time and cannot contact emergency services. If you believe you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest appropriate emergency facility now.

Seek urgent professional care for concerning symptoms such as severe or sudden pain, very heavy bleeding, fainting, difficulty breathing, chest pain, signs of a severe allergic reaction, thoughts of self-harm, or any symptom that feels dangerous or rapidly worsening. This list is not exhaustive.

AI-generated information

Cyster Care and meal analysis use artificial intelligence. AI can misunderstand context, miss relevant risks, and produce inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or outdated output. Responses are not reviewed by a clinician before they reach you.

  • Do not use AI output to diagnose a condition or rule out a health concern.
  • Do not start, stop, or change medication, supplements, or treatment based on AI output.
  • Check nutrition estimates and ingredient assumptions, especially for allergies or medical diets.
  • Ask a qualified professional to review decisions involving fertility, pregnancy, mental health, or significant symptoms.

Tracking, insights, and connected health

Logs, cycle predictions, daily progress, pattern summaries, health-platform values, and reminders may be incomplete or inaccurate because of manual entry, device sensors, platform syncing, permissions, algorithms, missing days, or technical failures.

A tracked pattern is an observation, not a diagnosis. Cycle dates and symptoms may be useful in a clinical conversation, but they do not reliably confirm ovulation, fertility, hormone levels, or a cause of symptoms.

Nutrition, recipes, and exercise

Recipes, PCOS food grades, meal estimates, calorie or nutrient goals, and exercise content are general educational resources. They do not account for every allergy, eating-disorder history, disability, injury, medication interaction, metabolic condition, cultural need, or nutritional requirement.

Check ingredient labels and suitability yourself. Stop activity and seek appropriate help if you experience pain, faintness, chest symptoms, unusual shortness of breath, or another concerning reaction. Ask a qualified clinician or dietitian before making significant changes when you have a medical condition or special nutritional needs.

Medication and reminders

Medication schedules and reminders are organizational aids only. They can be delayed, silenced, misconfigured, or unavailable. Always follow the prescription label and your clinician’s or pharmacist’s instructions. Do not rely on Cyster as your only reminder for time-sensitive medication or care.

Fertility, contraception, and pregnancy

Cyster is not a contraceptive, fertility monitor, or pregnancy test. Do not use cycle predictions or app insights to prevent or achieve pregnancy. PCOS can make ovulation timing less predictable, and some medicines, supplements, skincare ingredients, diets, and exercises require different advice during preconception, fertility treatment, or pregnancy. Consult a qualified professional for individualized guidance.
